DESULPHUR - THE NEW AND INNOVATIVE
With this desulphurisation technology, users can reduce the sulfur content of their fuels to levels allowed by the regulations at the same time that it remains its desirable characteristics (thermal, physical and chemical).
Due to the restrictive regulation on sulfur content, to the lack of fuel with low sulfur in the market(which prices increased) and to the need of restricting the SOx emissions caused by the oxidation of sulfur in fuel (also verified inshore industries), it was urgent to find a solution to this problem.
The process requires the addition of only a few components to the fuel (cheap, easy to obtain and recoverable in the process), and operate at reasonable operatory conditions (Low Temperatures and Atmospheric Pressure).
The process takes into account the oxidation of sulfur species presented in fuel to oxides and peroxides that are easier to remove. The oxidation process occurs efficiently due to the presence of an oxidant produced in situ and do the effect of an ultrasound system that creates cavitation and promotes the thermal ionic dissociation of the water presented in the fuel.
A phase separation step allows the remove the undesirable components from fuel (sulphones, that are Sulphur oxides and peroxides), obtaining, in the end, a treated fuel with low sulfur content.
Desulphur can be used on a global scale.
It can be applied to the industry sector, as an alternative to other conventional desulphurisation solutions, delivering greater economic, energetic, operational/safety and environmental advantages.
• Petroleum industry;
• Waste treatment and recovery of fuels;
• Fuel producers;
• Global industries that use Heavy Fuel in their activities and systems/installations.
At this point, the reduction of sulfur oxide emissions has become one of the guiding principles of environmental legislation and, given the shortage of fuel (at competitive prices) that can meet the obligations, Desulphur technology responds to the needs of the market.
This product efficiently processes heavy fuel with high sulfur content, removing it and obtaining a fuel which burning meets the legal requirements, at a very competitive price when compared to the current market offer.
New and innovative desulphurisation process with easy installation and low production costs
Reduces sulphur content, while keeping the thermal, physical and chemical properties of the fuel
Compatible with low flow rates, it can be applied onboard ships, allowing them to burn proper fuel
